We work with transgender individuals and all gender identities with pelvic health needs, and also support individuals with pelvic health rehabilitation for gender affirming surgeries, including vaginoplasties, phalloplasties, and other procedures.

Personalized Care for Everyone

Our doctors of physical therapy offer individualized care for individuals dealing with pelvic health conditions and/or musculoskeletal challenges related to binding, tucking or packing. We also work with people pre and post gender affirmation surgery as needed to support optimal pelvic health.

At SPH, we strive to create a comfortable, relaxing and inclusive environment where you can feel at home. Our goal is to partner alongside you and support you in your pelvic wellness.

Transgender & Non-Binary Conditions
We Specialize In Treating

  • Pelvic & Abdominal Paib

We help people dealing with pelvic pain, including pain in the abdomen, low back, SI joints, pubic bone, tailbone and genitals. Pelvic pain can be linked to other diagnoses like endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, or prostatitis, or may happen without a known association.

  • Sexual Pain & Dysfunction

We work with people experiencing painful sex, pain during or after vaginal or anal insertion, and difficulties with sexual satisfaction. The pelvic floor muscles can often be involved in these challenges, as well as other musculoskeletal and neuromuscular structures around the pelvis. Optimizing these structures can often make a big difference in sexual health.

  • Bladder Dysfunction

We help people dealing with problems like bladder leakage, voiding dysfunction, and pain related to urination. The pelvic floor muscles are important for bladder support and continence. Weak, overactive and/or uncoordinated pelvic floor muscles can often be factors in bladder difficulties.

  • Bowel Dysfunction

We help people experiencing constipation, difficulty emptying stool, difficulty holding back stool and bowel leakage. The pelvic floor muscles are important for bowel control and healthy bowel movements. Pelvic floor dysfunction can often lead to changes in bowel function.

  • Prehab and Rehab after Pelvic Surgeries

We work with people prior to and after surgical procedures including hysterectomy, prolapse repair, prostatectomy, endometriosis excision or ablation, hernia repair, vaginal reconstruction, and much more! Our goal is to help people optimize their pelvic function, reduce scar tissue adhesions, optimize movement, and reduce recurrence of problems in the future.

“I'm so glad I found Southern Pelvic Health. I have been struggling silently for years with some pelvic floor issues. I had tried physical therapy once before somewhere else and wasn't super thrilled with the results. My experience at Southern Pelvic Health, however, has been nothing short of amazing.”
