Dr. Jillian Watson
PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy & Pelvic Health Specialist
There is such joy in guiding people towards their goals, especially when they feel that they are unreachable. When attending a physical therapy conference in 2016, I stumbled upon a lecture that discussed the pelvic floor and postpartum care. Instantly, I became enthralled with this area of practice and knew I needed to make a shift in my career. I am passionate about prenatal and postpartum care, and pelvic pain conditions. My purpose is to provide education, comfort, and strategies for my patients as they move through the various progressions and stages of their journey and healing. There is no greater feeling than the call, email, or in person session where someone announces the arrival of their baby, tells me they had a pain-free workout, or enjoyed intimacy with their partner without restriction. I love assisting in enhancing the human experience for my patients, providing empathetic care, and encouraging each individual to be an active participant in their recovery.

It brings me unmeasurable joy to see a patient light up about their successes…
I was introduced to physical therapy at a young age after being diagnosed with Primary Lymphedema and had a spectacular physical therapist who empowered me as we navigated my new normal. Today, I am confident in the management of my condition and have a goal that my patients feel the same.
My career in physical therapy began in 2013 in Minnesota, my home state, and transitioned to Pensacola, Florida for about five years where I worked in Orthopedics. I have such gratitude for my time working with those patients and am confident that it gave me a solid foundation to build upon as I moved towards Pelvic Health. I am a graduate of Mercer University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and am still engaged with the school as an adjunct faculty. Involvement in our professional association has consistently been a key component to my personal growth, and this has continued through various leadership positions within APTA Georgia and the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.

“Jillian is amazing, the best experience I’ve ever had at any provider. She always listened to how I’m feeling, and made me feel comfortable and excited to come to my appointments. I would and do recommend her to anyone that has any pelvic health issues they’re concerned about.”

Baby Bub's Maternity Pillow
Good sleep is crucial while you are pregnant, and having good support does not always have to come from the large, and sometimes cumbersome maternity pillows that we are used to. I love Baby Bub's Maternity Pillow because it is adjustable, there is support for both the belly and the back, and it comes with a smaller pillow that can be placed where extra support is needed, such as in between the knees, under the belly for added cushion, or to give a little extra padding at the low back and hips.
Nourish Move Love
As someone who is working back towards lifting and exercise following an abdominal procedure, I have loved doing these online workouts at home. There are options for length of the workout, various muscle groups, beginner to advanced, prenatal/postpartum, and she keeps the workouts interesting and entertaining. I admit that I am not always someone who loves to use a workout video, and I have been hooked to these!
