Menstrual Pain
Experiencing painful cramping (also called dysmenorrhea) impacts 20% of individuals during their menses.
It is the #1 cause of missed school for teens, and can be very distressing to those experiencing it.
Causes of Pain & How It Presents
Menstrual pain has many causes which can be inflammatory, hormonal, or related to other problems like endometriosis or uterine fibroids; however, there are times when the cause is unknown. Contractions of the uterus when a person has dysmenorrhea can be stronger than uterine contractions during labor and childbirth!

I'm so glad I found Southern Pelvic Health. I have been struggling silently for years with some pelvic floor issues. I had tried physical therapy once before somewhere else and wasn't super thrilled with the results. My experience at Southern Pelvic Health, however, has been nothing short of amazing.
